Equus Couture Returns & Guarantees:

Equus Couture endeavors to provide our clients with the highest quality of product, inspection, and service. That said, we operate a simple and straight forward returns policy:


We back up our products with a one-year manufacturer guarantee. After one year, we will judge repairs on a case-by-case basis. (see more details below)


International orders are non-returnable and non-refundable.


If items arrive damaged/faulty please contact us to let us know within 7 days of receipt and arrange to post them back within 7 days of receipt - unused and with all the original packaging. We will reimburse you for these extra postage costs and replace the item. If you do not inform us and return the item within 7 days then we will have no liability for items said to be damaged/faulty on delivery.

If you wish to exchange an item, that must take place within 30 days of the original purchase date. We do not take exchanges after 30 days.

Custom Order Cancellation Policy:

No cancellations on custom orders. Once we have received your payment, we will order what is needed to complete your order, thus we become invested financially.


Custom-made orders are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable as your order has been specifically selected to your specification in size, color, and design. If you are unsure on size, please discuss with us before ordering.


Equus Couture will not be held responsible if the customer takes incorrect measurements for a custom order. If you have questions about how to measure your horse properly, please contact us before ordering and we will be glad to help you.


Non-Custom Cancellation/Return Policy:

If an order has been paid for (this applies to in-stock items ONLY) and is cancelled after payment has been made, we do charge a cancellation fee of 20% of the total order cost, or you may choose to receive a store credit for the full amount paid. That store credit is good for up to one year. Any cancellation or return must be completed within 30 days of original sale.


Product Care & Our Guarantee:

Please exhibit care when using your Equus Couture products – they are essentially jewelry for the horse and rider. We understand that horse’s sweat and barns have dirt! A simple wipe down with a wet rag or sponge will restore your crystals to their original brilliant sparkle. We recommend conditioning your leather with The Simple Equine's Love My Leather Balsam, as it is the official leather conditioner of Equus Couture.

Our products are hand-made and hand-sewn, many with vintage metals and crystals. We love the beauty these old pieces have to offer, but sometimes they are a little more fragile, so please treat our products with great care (please don't let your horse rub their head in our browbands or halters!). That said, we will gladly repair any product, free of charge, that has a manufacturer defect (broken hardware, damaged leather, or missing crystal) within one year of purchase, because we do understand that vintage pieces are delicate.

Repairs on items that are older than one year start at $25 for the repair (plus return shipping) and can possibly increase, depending on the nature of the repair.

During our peak season (May-December) repairs may take up to two months.

Equus Couture will charge for repairs (starting at $25) on any repair other than a manufacturer defect (broken hardware, damaged leather, crystal missing). We may choose not repair if the tack has been abused, and this will be determined on a case by case basis.



Due to the nature of our product (many specialty & vintage pieces), we are unable to guarantee the availability specific designs and/or crystals. Please contact us if there is a specific piece you desire to purchase.



We ship everything USPS priority with tracking unless otherwise requested. Other shipping methods are available upon request. We are not responsible for loss or theft of any item in transit. If you pay via PayPal, we use the address on your PayPal account unless you specify otherwise. 

We are happy to ship Internationally! Please contact us for a quote. Buyer is responsible for any duty and/or import fees.
